Come and join us as we explore Prince Edward Island by bicycle. We will explore the Confederation Trail, magnificent beaches, and the home of Anne of Green Gables. We’ll also sample the seafood and lively local entertainment.
Aug 31: Group meets at our downtown Charlottetown hotel. Transfers from airport are included. Overnight at Charlottetown Inn
Sept 1: Pick up our bikes for an orientation ride around the city with time to explore Charlottetown. Option to go to Anne of Green Gables Theatre production. Overnight at Charlottetown Inn - 10km - Meal - Breakfast
Sept 2: Cycle from Charlottetown along the Confederation Trail and local roads for overnight at Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort - 51km - Meal - Breakfast

Sept 3: Optional ride to Morell and onward to Saint Peters Bay on the Confederation Trail. We will have the option to return the same way or take a busier more direct road back to our hotel. If conditions are right there may be a bonfire at the beach. Overnight - Rodd Crowbush Golf Resort - 41km
Sept 4: Cycle along the Confederation Trail and secondary roads to Stanhope on Covehead Bay where we will stay for 2 nights. Our modern cottages have full kitchen facilities. Overnight at By the Bay Cottages - 43 km
Sept 5: This is our optional day to explore PEI National Park and area. Various options are available. We will plan to visit The Dunes Studio Gallery & Café and Historic Dalvay by the Sea used by the producers of Anne of Green Gables “Road to Avonlea” as the White Sands Hotel. Overnight at By the Bay Cottages - 22 - 41km
Sept 6: This morning we cycle to North Rustico for lunch; then along the beautiful Cavendish Beach coastal pathway to the Cavendish area. We will have an option for a barbeque dinner and swim at our kitchen equipped Sundance Cottages - 38 km
Sept 7: Free day to explore Cavendish including the Beach and Anne of Green Gables attractions like Avonlea Village and Green Gables Heritage Place. Have an ice cream at “Cows”. Tonight there is an option for a lobster dinner in New Glasgow. Overnight at Sundance Cottages - 11km
Sept 8: Cycle from Cavendish to Kensington, via the scenic route, which includes New London (optional visit to Lucy Maude Montgomery’s birthplace), Stanley Bridge, French River and Malpeque or take the more direct hillier route via highway 101. Overnight at the Victoria Inn or similar - Cottage kitchen available - 39 or 49 km
Sept 9: Free day in Kensington, or ride the Confederation Trail to explore Summerside. Overnight - Victoria Inn 30km
Sept 10: Cycle or drive from Kensington to the Bakery by the River Café in Hunter River, then cycle to Charlottetown to return our bikes and enjoy our included “Farewell to PEI” Dinner. Overnight at Charlottetown Inn - 31 or 63km
Sept 11: Departure day - Transfers included to airport - Meal - Breakfast

Bicycles - Hybrid bikes are included . We will cycle mostly on well maintained rail trails and paved scenic roads.
Trip Rating - 2 1 - Mostly flat 2 - Flat with some gentle slopes 3 - Rolling, hilly terrain 4 - Some long and/or steep climbs 5 - Extensive climbing. Trip participants should have basic cycling skills and be comfortable riding 30 - 40 km per day. Helmets are required and we practise safe cycling.

Deposit in the amount of $200 is due at the time of booking by cheque or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Final Payment is due June 30, 2018.

Cancellation penalty and name changes: Deposit is non refundable. Cancellation penalty - After
June 30, 2018 - 100% non refundable. Name changes are permitted for a fee of $50 per person if you can find someone to take your place or if there is a waiting list. A liability release waiver must be signed prior to our departure date.
