ITINERARY

Day 1 – 08 October
Comox to Catania

Day 2 – 09 October
Arrive Catania and Transfer from the Airport to Aci Trezza. Aci Trezza 1 night.

Day 3 – 10 October
Our tour starts in Aci Trezza, a small charming fishing village just 10km north of Catania and a short drive from Taormina. The symbol of Aci Trezza and its crystal clear sea are the Faraglioni dei Ciclopi, eight rock stacks

Day 4 – 11 October
Excursion on Mt Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, with a dramatic panoramic view of the volcanic landscape and old craters; afternoon wine tasting.

Day 5 – 12 October
Drive to Syracuse, most powerful city-state in the Greek world and briefly the capital of the Byzantine Empire, to visit its archaeological site; on to the UNESCO Baroque town of Noto.

Day 6 – 13 October
Morning visit the hilltop town of Ragusa Ibla, a fascinating maze of winding streets dotted with remarkable baroque churches, transfer to Agrigento's Valley of the Temples.

Day 7 – 14 October
Visit ruins of Selinunte, overlooking the Mediterranean; drive to the hilltop village of Erice.

Day 8 – 15 October
Walk in the stunning Zingaro Nature Reserve; afternoon transfer to Palermo. This morning we take a break from the cultural highlights of the island and head to the coast to explore one of the best examples of the idyllic Mediterranean landscape on foot.

Day 9 – 16 October
Morning visit to Monreale Cathedral considered the greatest example of Norman architecture in the world; guided tour of Palermo and free time.

Day 10 – 17 October
Drive to the fishing village of Cefalu to visit its Norman Cathedral; on to charming Taormina; free time to explore.

Day 11 – 18 October
End of Exodus tour in Taormina. A short train ride to Tropea for 3 days of relaxation.

Day 12 and 13 – October 19 and 20
Tropea is a small town on the east coast of Calabria, in southern Italy. It’s known for its clifftop historic center, beaches and prized red onions. The centuries-old Santa Maria dell’ Isola Church is on a rock overlooking the sea.

Day 14 – 21 October
After lunch, we will take the train from Tropea to Lamezia for our last night in Italy. Staying one night in Lamezia with a chance to explore for the afternoon before an early night and early departure the next morning.

Day 15 – 22 October
Lamezia to Comox
